Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information StickyLoops ("we," "us") collects when you use the StickyLoops mobile application or website (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide:

Account info: email address, username, display name, optional profile photo and bio.
Video clips you record or upload (10 seconds each) and the loops you create or contribute to.
Support messages, feedback, and content reports you submit.
Payment details, when you send a tip or buy a campaign (handled directly by Stripe — we never store full card numbers).

Information collected automatically:

Device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs.
Usage events (loops viewed, tips sent, sign-ups) used to improve the Service.
Approximate IP address, used for spam prevention and rate limiting.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photo library beyond what you explicitly select, or microphone audio outside the recording flow.

2. How we use information

To operate the Service: create your account, host your videos, send notifications, deliver email confirmations.
To prevent fraud, abuse, and spam.
To process tips and campaign payments through Stripe.
To respond to support requests and content reports.
To improve the product through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

3. How we share information

We share your information only with these third-party processors that help us run the Service:

Supabase — account database, authentication, push notifications.
Cloudflare Stream — video hosting and playback.
Stripe — payment processing for tips and advertising campaigns.
Resend — transactional email delivery (verification, password reset, notifications).
Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications to your device.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Public content

Videos you post and loops you create or join are public by default. Your username and avatar are visible to other users. Do not upload anything you do not want strangers to see.

5. Your rights

Delete your account at any time from inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your videos and account data will be removed within 30 days.
Request a copy of your data by emailing support@stickyloops.com.
Correct or update your profile info in the app at any time.
If you are a California or EU/UK resident, you have additional rights under CCPA and GDPR; contact us to exercise them.

6. Children

StickyLoops is not directed to children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17. If you believe a child has created an account, email support@stickyloops.com and we will remove it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: TLS in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and least-privilege role-based access. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users of any material breach as required by law.

8. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. After deletion, residual data may persist in backups for up to 90 days before being purged. Anonymous usage logs may be retained longer for analytics.

9. International users

StickyLoops is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to transfer of your information to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from your country.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
